All About Me
In my wildest dreams, I never thought I would have an extraordinarily difficult time writing about any subject, let alone myself. Yet, here I am, stumbling over every pebble I come across, trying to make myself sound interesting.

The main reason I find this a difficult task is that I know myself. I live my life every day, and what others see as remarkable, I see as, well, my life.

So, let's start at the beginning.
Hello. I am Ava Fox, an erotic author who has been writing openly since 2008.

My five favorite books are...
-
The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells was the first book I read after High School and College. I read it because I wanted to, not because I had to, and I fell in love with the characters and the love story.
-
Anne Rice's Sleeping Beauty series, growing up in a conservative family, I had no idea people wrote erotic books. So when my best friend gave me this series as a birthday gift, it felt so good being naughty.
-
The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Grefory. I have always loved the romance of the Tudor era. The people of that era were exceptionally sexual.
-
Real Ghost Stories by Brad Steiger, along with romance. I LOVE a good scare!
-
Weird Arizona by Wesley Treat. I grew up in Southern Arizona. This book had a few weird things I hadn't seen, and I have adventured back to see them.
What do you read for pleasure?
I enjoy a variety of life, including books I read. I am always in the mood for something new, and I have several books lying around the house, all with bookmarks waiting for me to finish them.
Or I listen to Audible. If I'm driving long distances, there is nothing like catching up on the latest books.
Do you have any recommendations for pleasure reads?

Describe your desk...
I left it in the Southwest. Unfortunately, my beautiful wooden desk and several other sentimental items didn't make it on the cross-country hike. Now, I find myself sitting on the floor writing at a stand-up that doubles as a coffee table. Starting over is part of the adventure.

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I have been telling my stories to my family for many years. After years of farting around, I challenged myself to sit down and write them down. Thanks to the help of my incredible circle of friends and family. I am excited to publish my stories for the world to read.
